EduCtR

Created an Educational Continuum Robot called EduCtR for use in labs for the Continuum Robotics class as Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Our team designed the robot with some requirements for it to be functional lab robot:

  1. Must use accessible methods of fabrication

  2. Easy to assemble with only basic/no tooling

  3. Low Cost (we want to build many of these)

  4. Easy to control

  5. Robust enough to last a long time in a lab setting

Our final design has proved to meet these requirements.

Our team also produced a code base for future students to work with and a basic framework for the kinematics and dynamics of the robot to aid in the learning process.
